Ramiz Raja Not Part of Asia Cup Commentary Panel

Ramiz Raja, who used to lead Pakistan’s cricket team, won’t be talking about the Asia Cup this time. But there are some well-known folks who will be talking. People like Bazid Khan, Aamer Sohail, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis from Pakistan will be chatting about the games. And there are also other important names like Ravi Shastri, Andy Flower, and Matthew Hayden who will be part of the chat.

Ramiz Raja had stopped talking about cricket since September 2021 when he became the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for three years. But he went back to talking about cricket during a recent test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

But now, Raja isn’t in charge of the PCB anymore. He and others in the PCB team were taken out, and a group led by Najam Sethi is in charge.

Ramiz Raja was only the fourth ex-Pakistani cricket player to lead the PCB. He was a captain in both Test and ODI cricket. He played in 255 international matches and scored 8,674 runs between 1984 and 1997.

This 60-year-old person also used to be the head of the PCB from 2003 to 2004. He also worked with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and now is part of the MCC World Cricket Committee.

Ramiz Raja is well-known for talking about cricket on TV. He’s famous for that. The Asia Cup is going to happen in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, starting on August 30 and ending with the final match on September 17.
