Here’s How You Can Avoid Dh400 Traffic Fine for a Damaged License Plate in UAE

Abu Dhabi Police have shared that drivers can use a mobile app to replace their damaged driving license plates, helping them avoid a Dh400 fine that is typically imposed for such cases.

The fine for having a damaged license plate amounts to Dh400, in line with Article No. 27 (b) of the Federal Traffic Law regarding “Missing Vehicle Plate Numbers.” The authorities have also issued a reminder about traffic rules and fines during unstable weather conditions.

These include fines such as Dh1,000 and six black points for gathering near valleys, flooded areas, and dams during rainy weather. Entering flooded valleys, regardless of their danger level, can result in a Dh2,000 fine, 23 black points, and a 60-day vehicle confiscation.

Obstructing authorities from regulating traffic, especially during emergencies, disasters, and rainy conditions, may lead to a Dh1,000 fine, four black points, and a 60-day vehicle confiscation.
