PTA Reduces Registration Fee for Older iPhones in Pakistan

In good news for iPhone users in Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has decided to lower the registration fee for older iPhones. This move comes after the government reduced taxes on Apple smartphones through the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The PTA’s goal is to make it easier and more affordable for people to register their older iPhones. This reduction in registration fees applies to iPhones that are not the latest models, so those with older iPhones can benefit from this change.

There are two options for the reduced registration fee: one based on a passport and the other based on a CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card). This means users can choose the option that matches their identification documents.

This decision to lower the registration fees is a positive step to support iPhone users in Pakistan. It ensures that they can keep using their iPhones without facing too much financial burden. It also shows that the PTA is willing to adjust its rules according to the changing market and government decisions.
