First Time Ever, Children’s Book Written By UAE’s His Highness Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Launches From Space

On Friday, ‘The Journey From the Desert to the Stars,’ the second children’s book written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, was released.

As a first, the launch was broadcast live from the International Space Station (ISS), an appropriate setting given the book’s overarching topic of the United Arab Emirates’ meteoric rise from relative obscurity. Sultan Al Neyadi, an Emirati astronaut, commemorated the event by reading aloud from the book.

The book’s five narratives serve as a touching recollection of pivotal times in the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) amazing development path. The nation’s achievements are used to illustrate His Highness’s belief that hard work is essential to achieving goals. The Ruler of Dubai also shares with young readers the vital lessons he learned from a wide range of situations throughout his youth that formed his values and attitude on life.

‘My First Teacher’ is a collection of five short stories, and astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi gave a brief synopsis of one of them in a video he posted to social media.

He announced with great pleasure “the release of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s second children’s book,” which he was doing today from outer space. He said the book was “aimed at children in the United Arab Emirates and around the world,” and it offered “motivational stories from His Highness’s life.”

Al Marri said that launching the book from the International Space Station was a tribute to the UAE’s President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s goal for space exploration.

After the book’s successful launch from the International Space Station, the Director General of GDMO expressed gratitude to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) and astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi. She lauded the efforts of Emiratis around the world and noted that MBRSC was instrumental in turning the UAE’s space dreams into reality.
