The International Association of Women Police (IAWP) has nominated Senior Superintendent of Police Sonia Shamrooz Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the prestigious ‘Police Officer of the Year’ award. If she wins, SSP Sonia will be the first Asian and the second Muslim woman ever to receive this esteemed award in the organization’s sixty-year history.
This recognition is in honor of her exceptional contributions to policing and her valuable efforts in preventing violence against women.
