Microsoft has introduced an update to its Paint image editor, adding support for layers and transparency. This new feature enables users to create digital artwork with layers and save their work as transparent PNG files.
To utilize this feature, users need to have Paint v11.2308.18.0 or a newer version. Currently, it’s available to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels.
Similar to popular tools like Photoshop, Microsoft Paint users can now work with layers, allowing them to add, remove, and manage different elements in their images. This includes stacking images, elements, and text on top of each other. The new ‘Layer’ button is located in the toolbar, providing access to a panel on the right side of the image for managing layers.
