Meta Unveiled New Ray-Ban Smart Glasses with Live-Streaming Feature

In 2021, Meta and Ray-Ban teamed up to introduce their first smart glasses called “Stories.” While the name was unique, both companies have now gone a step further.

Meta has recently revealed their second-generation smart glasses, named “Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.” These glasses are a significant upgrade from the first generation and introduce innovative features not seen before in smart eyewear. Let’s take a closer look at what they offer.

The standout feature of the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses is their ability to livestream video directly to Instagram and Facebook. This is a groundbreaking feature in the world of smart glasses and could be very useful for content creators and social media enthusiasts.

These smart glasses come with a 12MP ultra-wide camera designed for this purpose, capable of recording 1080p videos up to 60 seconds long. They also have a white courtesy light on the outside to indicate when recording is in progress.

With 32GB of internal storage, they can hold about 500 photos and 100 30-second videos. All the content you record seamlessly syncs through the Meta View app, making it easy to share with other apps.

The glasses are powered by a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor and are rated IPX4 water-resistant, meaning they can handle light splashes of water.

Meta has also improved the audio in the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses significantly. The new version is 50% louder than the first, offering clearer sound with deeper bass. They’ve also added directional audio, which reduces sound leakage and provides a more immersive listening experience.
