Pakistan’s cricket player, Mohammad Rizwan, was happy to talk about the warm welcome they received in Hyderabad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. They arrived on September 27, and many fans came to the airport to support them. When they reached their hotel, they were given shawls as a gesture of welcome.
Some of the Pakistan players, like Shaheen Afridi, shared their excitement on social media about the warm reception at the Hyderabad airport. This visit was significant because it was the first time since 2016 that a Pakistan senior men’s cricket team had visited India.
Rizwan said that the people at the airport showed them a lot of love, similar to what they experience in cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar.
In their warm-up match against New Zealand, Rizwan played exceptionally well, scoring 103 runs from 94 balls while batting at No. 4. He hit 2 sixes and 9 boundaries and had a crucial partnership of 114 runs with Babar Azam, who is the team’s captain.
