Mwasalat, Oman’s national transport company, is starting its bus services to the UAE again from October 1. They had temporarily stopped these services due to COVID-19.
They will connect Omani residents to Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in the UAE. Before, they used to run buses between Dubai and Muscat.
A one-way ticket from Muscat to Abu Dhabi will cost OMR11.5 (Dh109), and you can bring up to 23 kilograms of luggage. You’re also allowed to carry 7 kilograms of hand baggage.
People like Ateeq Ahmed, who regularly travel between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, are happy about this news. It’s good for them because flying was expensive, and buses from Dubai were often fully booked. Now, with this service from Abu Dhabi, they can reach Muscat in about 5 hours.
