Uncapped Aamer Jamal is set to make his debut for the Green Shirts as Pakistan are set to lock horns against England in the fifth T20I here at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday (today). The all-rounder will receive the T20I cap today as he will be the 98th player to represent Pakistan in the shortest format.
“It’s a great honor for me to represent my country,” said Jamal in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board on its official Twitter account. Aamir Jamal was a surprise call-up for the series against England, however, the youngster is renowned in the domestic cricket circle.
Talking to PCB ahead of his debut, the 26-year-old said, “I cannot describe my happiness. I felt like crying when Saqlain Mushtaq told me the news.”
Sharing his plans for the game, he said that he would be playing according to the requirement and demands of the match and focus on doing the things that he has command on.
