The Islamabad High Court has ruled that writing “Advocate” on vehicle number plates is not allowed. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri stated that lawyers, like all other citizens, must follow the law and should not claim special treatment by displaying such titles on their vehicles.
He urged the legal community to remove these markings immediately and not use their profession for personal advantage. The court made it clear that laws apply equally to everyone, ensuring fairness and accountability in society.
Lawyers have been advised to use only the number plates officially issued by the government. Authorities may take strict action against those who do not comply with this ruling. This decision highlights the importance of following traffic rules and upholding the principle that no one is above the law.
