Former Pakistani cricket team captain Shahid Afridi hosted a dinner for the national team to celebrate their historic victory against New Zealand in the one-day international series.
Afridi shared pictures of the gathering on Twitter, expressing his pride in the team and wishing them good luck for the upcoming match. The dinner was attended by players including Shaheen Afridi, Ihsanullah, Mohammad Haris, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, and Iftikhar Ahmed, along with coaching staff members.
The team enjoyed a day off in Karachi after their victory in the third ODI, in which a strong bowling performance by Pakistan helped them bowl out New Zealand for 261 and win by 26 runs.
Left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq played a key role in Pakistan’s victory, building momentum alongside skipper Babar Azam with an eye-catching partnership of 108 runs. Although Imam fell just short of a century, his innings included seven boundaries and a six.
