Again, Large-Scale Flood Threat in the Country for This Year

The NATIONAL Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of large-scale floods in the country, with a 72 percent risk of floods like last year.

A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Noor Alam Khan in which Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lieutenant General Inam Haider briefed.

He said that this year monsoon rains can start early, monsoon rains and floods in rivers can create a climate emergency situation.

Due to the sudden increase in the intensity of heat, the melting of glaciers can cause floods, there is a 72 percent chance of flooding like last year.
