AI Generated Code will replace Humans Programmer within Next 5 Years Stability AI CEO

Mostaque stated during an interview with Eric Sheridan, the senior U.S. internet analyst at Goldman Sachs Research, that “AI can consume knowledge very quickly and spew it back.” He compared AI to a highly gifted intern with poor recall, saying that if the memory problem is resolved, AI might be prepared for promotion to the analyst or associate-level employment.

Emad Mostaque, CEO of Stability AI, predicted to Goldman Sachs that programmers would be replaced by AI in five years. According to him, AI is producing software code successfully to the point that it now generates 41% of all new software code on GitHub. He claimed that the speed of disruption is “terrifying,” describing AI as a “far bigger disruption than the pandemic.”

Mostaque made a number of forecasts regarding how AI will soon influence business and society, including how it will affect entertainment, education, medicine, and of course the IT sector

Returning to his point about AI massive language models successfully producing software code, he reminded the audience, “This is a much bigger disruption than the pandemic.” Despite being a non-specialized model, Mostaque claimed that OpenAI’s ChatGPT could pass Google’s test for a high-level software engineer. He projected that there would be no programmers in five years.

Mostaque acknowledged the difficulties that AI would bring. The development of AI offers the potential to increase production and efficiency, but it also gives rise to concerns, such as the chance that humans’ employment could evaporate in fields that previously seemed secure.
