Amazon, the e-commerce behemoth, has joined the Pakistan Post as a facilitation centre, providing Pakistani vendors with the finest possible service in terms of promoting enterprises and online shoppers.
During a meeting, Pakistan Post Postmaster General Punjab Khawaja Imran Raza informed about Pakistan Post’s establishment of the Amazon Facilitation Centre to assist clothes makers and exporters on behalf of the government in selling various items/commodities such as garments products.
He went on to say that Pakistan Post is fully equipped to take advantage of Amazon’s chance, and that the department is ready to carry merchants’ shipments from their doorstep to various Amazon warehouses across the world.
He went on to say that e-commerce is the ideal option, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic, because online purchasing and selling is fast rising.
PRGMEA North Zone Chairman Adeeb Iqbal Sheikh said, “Pakistan Post Office has been formally authorised as the delivery partner of global e-commerce giant.”
“This is being hailed as a huge win for Pakistan’s e-commerce sector, since Pakistani items will now be available to millions of buyers around the world,” he added.
SAPM Shahbaz Gill has previously expressed his delight at Pakistan’s significant achievement.
In a tweet, Gill stated that as a result of this development, Pakistan has entered the global market, which would result in billions of dollars in investment and job prospects.
