Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, was welcomed with Vada-Pav, the most traditional dish in the country’s financial capital, while he was in India for the opening of the country’s first-ever Apple store in Mumbai. Vada pav is undoubtedly a must-have when in Mumbai.
Megastar of Bollywood Madhuri Dixit posted a photo of herself and Tim Cook eating vada pav on the microblogging site Twitter. Madhuri Dixit took Apple’s CEO to Swati Snacks in Mumbai, where Cook sampled the city’s most well-known delicacy.
In her post, Madhuri Dixit wrote, “Didn’t think of a better welcome than Vadapav on the table.” In response, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, “Thank you for getting me to my first-ever Vadapav — it was delicious.”
For the uninitiated, Tim Cook is in India for the launch of the first-ever Apple store in Mumbai’s BKC neighbourhood. According to reports, the new location will mark 25 years of Apple in India. Around April 20, Tim Cook’s business would open a new location in the Indian capital, according to the report. Cook is also anticipated to meet with the Indian Prime Minister along with this.
