According to the latest report on the shipments of smartwatches in October to December of the previous year, 2020, Apple was the market leader for this product and it is still an undisputed leader into this segment.
As per the latest report Apple Watch SE and the Apple Watch Series 6 are combined as about 12.9 million total sales as the last quarter of the previous year, 2020 till start of 2021.
However, the market recorded an increase of 1.5% in the total shipments as compared to the data of same period of 2019 like with Apple alone that accounts for a 40% overall turnover. Meanwhile, Samsung stands on the second place in this segment of smartwatches.
Apple has crossed about 100 million in the shipments of Apple Watch. The global smartwatch market is also seeing an increase as well as the rise in an average selling price of the product from giant brands such as Apple, Huawei and Samsung.
However, the trend for smart-watches in Pakistan is expected to grow and continue in 2021 and in upcoming years with better advancement of technology.
