APS Peshawar Attack Survivor, Ahmad Nawaz Won the Election at Oxford University

Ahmad Nawaz, a courageous survivor of the horrific Army Public School (APS) terrorist attack in Peshawar, has become a source of national pride after being elected to the Oxford Union’s Governing & Standing Committee.

Ahmad Nawaz, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the arm and lost his younger brother during the horrific terrorist attack on December 16, 2014. “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to share that I have been elected to the Governing body – Standing Committee of Oxford Union in the @oxford – uni,” he wrote on Instagram.

“It is a privilege for me to be a vital part of one of the world’s biggest platforms!” Nawaz continued.

Nawaz was 14 years old when he was injured by bullets during a Taliban assault on Peshawar’s APS school. Haris Nawaz, his younger brother, was one of the 150 students and teachers killed by the militants.
