Arshad Nadeem, a Pakistani 24-year-old, took part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics final of Javelin throw on Saturday. He is the first ever to reach this stage, coming very close to winning the Bronze medal but landed the fifth position.
The sources added that, in 4th round he only obscured 82.91m, while in 5th round he only covered the minimum distance of 81.98m. And his last throw is deemed to be a foul & his finest throw will be at 84.62m, perfectly distant from any place on the podium end.
His last shot was foul; he could not win a medal but did win the hearts of Pakistanis.
The leading competitor was India’s Neeraj Chopra, who landed a gold medal, with his first attempt landing at 87.58 meters which were enough to win the gold even though he had two foul attempts. Silver and Bronze medals went to Czech Republic contestants.
