Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced that Arshad Nadeem’s mother and coach will be honored with Sitara-e-Imtiaz. Additionally, the Olympic gold medalist himself will receive a cash prize of Rs. 2 million.
This announcement was made during a special event celebrating Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day. During the event, Tessori also bestowed upon Nadeem the title of “Sher Pakistan,” which means “Lion of Pakistan,” as a recognition of his remarkable achievements in sports.
Arshad Nadeem expressed his happiness at seeing the large crowd in Karachi that gathered to celebrate his accomplishments. He also shared his determination to break even more records in the future, provided he has access to the right equipment and training resources.
In addition to these honors, former President Asif Ali Zardari revealed that Arshad Nadeem will be awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, another prestigious award in Pakistan, for his outstanding performance in the Olympics. This award is for his historic achievements on the global stage.
