Recently, Nust (National University of Sciences and Technology) has announced that the late journalist and television news anchor Arshad Sharif’s family has made a donation for financing fund.
As per the representative of Nust, the endowed funds would enable two perpetual cost free seats for the deserving students who are struggling to find their education of Mass Communication.
The funded seats would serve as a tribute to Mr. Ashraf’s input to journalism and to kept it alive.
After facing various cases registered against him in different parts of the country he vamoosed last year. Later on he was targeted in Kenya by the police in a highly questionable manner.
“We are deeply appreciative and indebted to the generous donation and believe it will serve as a beacon of hope for upcoming reporters and media anchors in Pakistan who are pursuing their education at this premier higher education institution,” confirmed in a conference headed by the university.
