According to Chinese media reports, Chinese scientists managed to set a new temperature record on their nuclear-powered man-made sun and managed to keep it constant for more than a minute and a half.
Reports say that the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science scientists managed to achieve a plasma temperature of 216 million Fahrenheit (120 million C) for 101 seconds. And achieved 288 million Fahrenheit (160 million C) for 20 seconds in their cutting-edge modern fusion energy reactor named EAST (Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak).
Experiments related to the nuclear fusion process similar to sun and star are being conducted at a facility in Hefei where the previous record was 180 million F (100 million C) and intending to provide infinite clean energy.
