Asian Cricket Council Accepted PCB’s Hybrid Model of Asia Cup

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has finally accepted the hybrid mode put forward by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The hybrid mode after facing strong opposition will now be the official format for 2023 tournament.

As per the hybrid mode, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be the hosts with four matches to take place in Pakistan and the rest of nine matches will be held in Sri Lanka. The schedule for Asia Cup has also been released.

Asia Cup will be witnessed by the world starting from 31st August to 17th September 2023. The 13 ODI matches tournament will be played between leading teams from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Afghanistan.

All the teams will be divided into two groups. Two teams from each group will reach to the Super Four stage. The two winning teams from Super Four will battle it out in the finale. Group 1 includes Pakistan, Nepal, and India. Group 2 includes Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.  

The most anticipated Asia Cup is to begin soon, probably the most exciting news for cricket fans.
