Assisted by BARD, Naila Kiani Becomes First Pakistani Woman to Summit Mount Lhtose Following Mount Everest Triumph, Sets Double Summit Record

Pakistani mountaineer Naila Kiani achieved a remarkable milestone on Sunday as she successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, becoming the second woman from Pakistan to conquer the world’s highest peak. The first Pakistani woman to achieve this feat was Samina Baig in 2013. Kiani’s achievement holds even greater significance as she is the first non-Nepalese climber to scale Mount Everest in this current mountaineering season.

At 8:02 am on Sunday, Kiani reached the pinnacle of Mount Everest, ascending to an impressive height of 8,849 meters. This accomplishment adds another remarkable achievement to her already illustrious mountaineering career.

Kiani, a mother of two and a banker in Dubai, has established herself as a resilient and determined individual. Within a span of just two years, she has become the only Pakistani woman to scale five eight-thousanders, which includes Mount Everest. Her previous triumphs include conquering Annapurna I in Nepal, K2, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II.

Undeterred by her impressive achievements, Kiani has set her sights on yet another goal. In her current visit to Nepal, she aims to scale Lhotse, a mountain standing at an impressive height of 8,516 meters and the fourth tallest in the world.

Kiani first gained widespread recognition in 2018 when her wedding photoshoot at the K2 Basecamp went viral on social media, showcasing her passion for mountaineering and love for adventure.

Her exceptional accomplishments serve as an inspiration to aspiring mountaineers, particularly women, breaking barriers and setting new records in the world of mountaineering. Kiani’s determination, resilience, and unwavering spirit exemplify the true essence of mountaineering and the pursuit of personal goals.
