AT THE RESTAURANT, A CUSTOMER LEAVES OVER RS2.5 MN IN TIP FOR A BILL OF RS5,800

In a remarkable event, a diner in New Hampshire, US, left a gratuity of over Rs 2.5 million on a bill of Rs 8,560. The incident was revealed after the restaurant’s owner posted a snapshot of the bill on Facebook on Monday.

Michael Zarella, the restaurant’s owner, hailed the unidentified customer for his kindness in a Facebook post. “Stumble inn had a really generous customer,” he wrote. We appreciate your generosity.” According to the receipt, the diner left a Rs2.5 million tip.

Zarella stated that he thought the law was a mistake when he first viewed it on June 12. In an interview with NBC, he stated, “I thought that was a mistake.” Typo.” He went on to say that the diner preferred to remain unidentified. The man appeared to be a regular diner until he paid the bill, according to Mr Zarella.

“A gentleman came in at the bar and ordered a beer and a couple of chilli cheese dogs, and then he requested pickle chips and a Patron (tequila) drink,” he described the incident. He approached the bartender for the bill at 3:30 p.m. She handed it over and went away, and he told her, ‘Don’t spend it all at once.’

Though the bartender did not immediately check at the bill, the remark that she should not spend it all in one place attracted her interest. When she saw the sum, she inquired if he was “joking” and that it was “insane.” The man responded that he had “wanted them to have it.”
