According to Khazar Farhadov, Azerbaijan Airlines will soon begin direct flights to Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. It is also considering beginning direct flights to Pakistan’s industrial and export hubs, which will further boost bilateral trade between the two friendly nations.
According to the Azerbaijani ambassador, Pakistan International Airlines (PIAdirect ) flights between Azerbaijan and Pakistan increased bilateral trade between the two nations three times in 2022.
The ambassador of Azerbaijan, Khazar Farhadov, stated this while exchanging views with the business community during his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), according to a press release.
He said that Azerbaijan and Pakistan have formed Working Groups under the Joint Ministerial Commission to increase bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, trade, banking, IT, tourism, transport, energy, and health, and said that ICCI should cooperate in identifying companies for these working groups so that the private sector could lead the promotion of bilateral cooperation in these sectors between the two countries.
