British CGS Lauds Pakistan Armed Forces’ Sacrifices and Efforts for Peace

General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders, the Chief of General Staff of the UK Army, met with General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, on Wednesday at General Headquarters (GHQ), and expressed his appreciation for the Pakistani Army’s contributions to the fight against terrorism and efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

CGS UK Army placed a flower wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada after arriving at the GHQ. An appropriately attired force of the Pakistani Army gave the honoured guest the guard of honour, according to a news release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).Regional security challenges and topics of shared interest were covered during the summit.

The CGS UK had previously called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
