British High Commissioner Praises Pakistan for Hosting Champions Trophy

British Deputy High Commissioner Lance Domm praised Pakistan for organizing a great tournament, even though both Pakistan and England were eliminated early from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Domm, who watched the Pakistan vs. New Zealand match in Karachi, was impressed by the event’s management and the lively atmosphere. While disappointed that his favorite teams did not advance, he remained hopeful for their future success.

He highlighted how cricket brings people together and appreciated the strong passion for the sport in both Pakistan and England. He also shared his admiration for Pakistan’s cricketing history, recalling how he enjoyed watching Wasim Akram dominate England’s batting lineup.

As the newly appointed Deputy High Commissioner, Domm is excited to explore Karachi, build stronger trade relations, and try the city’s famous food—though he admits he might struggle with the spice! He also announced his plans to participate in the Karachi half-marathon, showing his love for sports and community engagement.

Despite the setbacks faced by the home team, Domm admired Pakistan’s efforts in successfully hosting such a major tournament.
