Casio has unveiled its first-ever smart ring, the CRW-001-1JR, to mark the company’s 50th anniversary in the digital watch industry. This innovative ring combines a retro design with modern technology, featuring a small six-segment LCD screen that shows the time, date, and even includes a stopwatch function.
The ring comes with three buttons, allowing users to change time zones and activate a flashing alarm. Powered by a battery, it offers up to two years of use before needing a replacement. The CRW-001-1JR is made with a durable stainless steel case and bezel, making it both waterproof and long-lasting.
While the ring comes in a fixed size of US size 10.5, Casio offers spacers for those with smaller fingers, ensuring a comfortable fit for a wider range of users. When the battery eventually runs out, the ring is designed to be easily replaceable.
This smart ring will be launched in Japan in December 2024, with a price tag of approximately $128. With its unique design and practical features, the CRW-001-1JR is set to appeal to those looking for a wearable that combines style and functionality in a small, sleek form. Casio continues to innovate as it celebrates its milestone in the world of digital timekeeping.
