China Launches World’s Fastest Internet with a Speed of 1200 Gigabits Per Second

China has introduced what it claims to be the world’s most advanced internet network, capable of operating several times faster than current networks.

The network, with speeds up to 1.2 terabits per second, boasts the ability to transfer data from 150 movies in just one second. While these speeds may not be immediately available to consumers, a faster internet service has far-reaching implications for businesses, quicker information transfers, advantages in stock trading, and broader national security considerations.

The next-generation backbone network, officially launched by Huawei and China Mobile, in collaboration with Tsinghua University and Cernet, is crucial for supporting data transfers from technologies like 5G and electric vehicles.
