CM Announces Rs 550 Million Project to Restore Murree’s Former Glory

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a Rs 550 million project to restore Murree’s historic beauty. The plan aims to improve Mall Road and upgrade facilities for tourists while preserving the area’s heritage.

The project includes restoring old buildings, keeping the city clean, and introducing a unique Glass Train to enhance the visitor experience. A new hospital will also be built to improve healthcare services. Additionally, public squares will be developed to provide open spaces for locals and tourists.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has been given the responsibility to ensure the project is completed on time. To maintain Murree’s traditional charm, uniform signboards and heritage-style streetlights will be installed. These efforts will not only boost tourism but also enhance the city’s overall appearance.

CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the goal is to make Murree one of the top tourist destinations while preserving its historical identity. The government plans to complete all the renovations within a year. This initiative is expected to attract more visitors, improve local businesses, and make Murree a more enjoyable place for everyone.
