CM KP orders to stop all illegal constructions at tourist spots.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has urged officials to take measures to prohibit illegal development in Kalam, Kumrat, and other tourism destinations throughout the province.

According to a handout, he mentioned this while chairing a meeting on Sunday to review progress on various provincial government programmes to increase tourism activities in the province. The meeting was attended by Mian Sharafat Ali, Secretary Tourism, Abid Majeed, Secretary Communications and Works, Ijaz Hussain Ansari, Secretary Local Government, Mian Shakil Ahmad, Secretary Planning, and others.

The chief minister ordered officials to speed up work on access roads to tourist destinations in Malakand, Hazara, and the southern districts. He requested that officials conduct an assessment of all rest homes controlled by various provincial departments, with the appropriate ones being handed over to the Tourism Department for promotion.

Mahmood Khan asked the Finance Department to release the remaining monies for the provincial government to take over the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation’s rest rooms and use them for tourism activities.
