Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has given permission to use her helicopter for emergency patient transportation. This decision came during a meeting in Lahore about the Air Ambulance Project, where she also announced the upcoming launch of an air ambulance service in Punjab.
Expressing sadness over a heart attack patient’s situation in a Sargodha hospital, the Chief Minister also announced the start of the Rescue 1122 service on the motorway.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif has previously stressed her government’s commitment to providing top-notch healthcare facilities. In a lengthy meeting, she discussed plans to improve healthcare over five years by enhancing rural health centers, ensuring enough doctors, and upgrading medical equipment.
