CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Awarded Rs. 38 Lacs to T20 Deaf Cricket World Cup Winners

Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, recently met with the triumphant Pakistan Deaf cricket team at the Chief Minister House in Lahore. The team had just won the T20 World Cup after an impressive 19 years of dominance.

During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz decided to increase the prize money for the deaf cricketers from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. She also handed over a check of Rs 38 lakh to the players as a gesture of appreciation.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed the immediate allocation of a ground for the deaf cricketers and instructed steps to help them find jobs in government departments in Punjab. Maryam Nawaz praised the cricketers for their remarkable achievement, stressing that their contribution is invaluable and cannot be fully repaid.

In addition to that, the Pakistan Deaf cricket team presented the Dubai World Cup trophy to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif during the meeting. Last month, they emerged victorious in the T20 World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka.
