On Monday, the traffic police chief announced that traffic violators in the garrison city would be able to pay fines online.
As per Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal, Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) has introduced an E-Challan payment system to support people.
Payment of traffic challans via ATM card, online and mobile banking, and cellular services would make life simpler for people and put an end to the system of touts who get challans paid and documents delivered, as well as the possibility of challan money being misappropriated.
The Punjab Information Technology Board assisted in the launch of the e-challan payment system in the Rawalpindi district. In response to a query, the CTO claimed that the CTP Education Wing educates PSV drivers and other road users on traffic rules and safety.
