Dawood University of Engineering And Technology (DUET) Opens Jobs Vacancies in Pakistan

Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Karachi, has announced several administrative and non-teaching vacancies on a contract basis. The university is seeking qualified candidates with domicile in Sindh Province to apply for these important roles. Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria

DUET invites applications for the following administrative/non-teaching positions:

  1. Controller of Examinations (Equivalent to BPS-20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree/MBA/M.E with a minimum of 15 years of administrative experience in the education sector. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as Controller/Deputy Controller in university examination management.
  1. Librarian (Equivalent to BPS-20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. in a relevant field with ten years of experience or Master’s/M.Phil in Library Science with 14 years of experience in a related role.
  1. Director (QEC) – Quality Enhancement Cell (Equivalent to BPS-20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. with ten years of research experience in a university or national/international organization.
  1. Director (ORIC) – Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (Equivalent to BPS-20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. with ten years of relevant experience, along with an entrepreneurial mindset and training.
  1. Director Sports (Equivalent to BPS-19)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree in Physical Education with 14 years of experience.
  1. Director/Advisor Students Affairs (Equivalent to BPS-19/20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Master’s Degree with 14 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to retired personnel from the Armed Forces.
  1. Director Postgraduate Studies (Equivalent to BPS-19/20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. with 15 years of teaching/research experience. A minimum of 15 research publications, including five in the last three years.
  1. Director Human Resources (Equivalent to BPS-19/20)
  • Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Master’s in Human Resource Management or equivalent with 10-12 years of progressive HR experience.
  1. Internal Auditor (Equivalent to BPS-17)
  • Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
  • Qualification/Experience: Qualified ACCA/ICMA or BBA/MBA in Finance/Accounting with five years of experience in audit.

Terms and Conditions for Applicants

  • Previous Applicants: Applicants who applied based on advertisements dated March 5, 2023, and July 8, 2023, do not need to apply again unless they wish to revoke their application.
  • Contract Basis: The advertised positions are purely on a contract basis, extendable as per the rules.
  • Application Submission: Interested candidates must apply online through the official portal: http://career.duet.edu.pk. Applications, along with attested documents (academic certificates, domicile, CNIC, and experience certificates), must reach the Registrar Office via courier before October 14, 2024.
  • Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of PKR 2,000 must be deposited in Sindh Bank Ltd., Jamshed Quarters Branch, Karachi, Account No. 0003233348946100. The paid challan must be attached to the application.
  • Incomplete Applications: Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
  • Employees of Govt/Semi-Govt/Autonomous Bodies: Employees applying for the positions must submit their applications through the proper channel, along with an NOC from their parent department.
  • University Rights: DUET reserves the right to withdraw any of the advertised positions if justifiable reasons arise.
  • Disqualification: Any form of canvassing will disqualify the candidate.
  • Interview/Testing: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or test. No TA/DA will be provided.
