Dubai Aims to Launch World’s First Air Taxi Service by 2026

Dubai plans to lead the way in introducing the world’s first commercial air taxi service by early 2026, with initial operations expected to start in 2025. This move marks a significant change in how people travel within cities.

Joby Aviation, along with Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and Skyports, is working on this project. They aim to introduce electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which are eco-friendly and efficient for commuting.

To make this vision a reality, Dubai will set up strategic vertiport hubs across the city. These hubs will seamlessly connect with existing transportation networks. This ambitious project demonstrates Dubai’s commitment to innovation and sustainable transport. It represents a big step towards shaping the future of how people get around.
