Dubai has revealed plans for a groundbreaking underwater floating mosque, which will be the first of its kind in the world. This unique mosque will consist of three floors, with one of them below the water’s surface, providing a prayer space for 50 to 75 worshippers.
The underwater level will also have facilities for ablution (ritual washing) and restrooms. The rest of the structure will be above the water, featuring seating areas and a coffee shop. The exact location of the mosque hasn’t been shared yet, but it will be close to the shore, connected to the mainland by a bridge.
This extraordinary mosque will be open to people of all religions. Visitors will need to dress modestly and follow Islamic customs and traditions while visiting.
