Dubai Announces Free Parking for Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced that all public parking, excluding multi-level parking terminals, will be free from Ramadan 29 until Shawwal 3, coinciding with the Eid Al Fitr holidays. This means that motorists can enjoy free parking starting from Sunday, April 7, until Thursday, April 11, if Eid falls on Tuesday, April 9. However, if Ramadan lasts for 30 days, with Eid on Wednesday, April 10, free parking will extend until Friday, April 12.

During Eid Al Fitr, Dubai Metro will operate with extended hours, with the Red and Green Lines running from 5 am until 1 am the following day on Saturday, April 6, and from 8 am until 1 am on Sunday, April 7. From April 8 to 13, the metro will operate from 5 am to 1 am, with hours shifting to 8 am to 12 midnight on Sunday, April 14. Additionally, Dubai Tram will operate from 6 am to 1 am Monday to Saturday, and from 9 am to 1 am on Sunday, April 14.

Adjustments will also be made to the operating hours of public and intercity buses, as well as marine transport services, including water taxi, Dubai Ferry, and abra. Commuters are advised to check the S’hail App for updated schedules.

Service centers will be closed during Eid Al Fitr from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3, with operations resuming on Shawwal 4. Vehicle testing services will be available only on Ramadan 29 and Shawwal 3. However, Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed during the holidays, except for kiosks or smart customer centers in Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the RTA head office, which will continue to operate 24/7 as usual.
