Dubai International Airport Set for Record-Breaking Start to 2025 With 4.3 Million Passengers in 15 Days

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is set to welcome 4.3 million passengers in the first half of January 2025, making it the busiest start to the year in its history. Daily passenger traffic is expected to peak on January 3, with over 311,000 travelers passing through the airport.

This marks an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and is 6% higher than the pre-pandemic levels seen in 2018-2019. The numbers highlight the growing demand for travel to and from Dubai.

Dubai Airports, the operator of DXB and Dubai World Central (DWC), attributed this increase to a rise in international tourists and UAE residents returning after their winter holidays. The figures reflect the growing popularity of Dubai as a global hub for business and leisure travel.

DXB’s robust performance shows the airport’s ability to handle high volumes of passengers while maintaining efficient operations. As international travel continues to recover and grow, Dubai remains a preferred destination for millions around the world.

The airport’s ongoing success underlines its key role in connecting people and boosting the global travel industry. With such strong numbers to begin the year, Dubai International Airport is expected to continue setting new records in passenger traffic.
