Dubai New Year’s Eve 2025 Traffic Plan, Metro Hours & Parking Info Announced

Dubai is getting ready to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The city will have a big fireworks show at the Burj Khalifa. Thousands of people are expected to attend the celebration.

Traffic and Parking

To help people get around, the Dubai Metro will run for 43 hours straight, from 5 am on December 31 to 12 am on January 2. The Metro will cover all 53 stations, making it easy for visitors to get to Downtown Dubai.

Some roads will be closed to manage the large crowds. The closed roads include:

  • Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard
  • Burj Khalifa Street
  • Al Asayel Street
  • Lower Financial Centre Road
  • Al Mustaqbal Street
  • Al Sukook Street
  • Sheikh Zayed Road (gradual closure starting from 11 pm)

Visitors are advised to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion. Parking will be available at some Metro stations, including:

  • Jebel Ali
  • Etisalat
  • Centrepoint
  • Jumeirah Golf Estates

Other designated parking areas include Al Wasl Club, Al Kifaf, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). Shuttle buses will be available to take people to and from the celebration.

What to Expect

There will be special areas for people to watch the fireworks for free. These areas will be open from 5 pm on December 31. The areas will have LED screens showing the live fireworks and entertainment.
