Motorists who break traffic rules will receive an SMS from the official number 8070. The message will contain a secure link. By clicking the link, people can view the photos and videos showing exactly how and where the violation happened. This helps drivers understand the fine and reduces arguments or false claims.
All challans are now generated through the Traffic Police One App. This digital tool allows traffic officers to record violations on the spot and attach visual evidence immediately. The new system is part of Punjab’s greater efforts toward smart policing and digital governance.
Officials believe this move will build greater public trust in the traffic police. It will also strengthen law enforcement because cases will have solid proof. Drivers can review the evidence before paying the fine, making the whole process fairer and more accountable.
