Dubai RTA announces service hours during Ramadan 2024

During the holy month of Ramadan, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai adjusts the operating hours for various services to accommodate the observance of fasting and prayer times. Here’s a breakdown of the revised schedules for different RTA services:

Customer Happiness Centres:

  • Several Customer Happiness Centres will have adjusted working hours, from Monday to Thursday, operating from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Fridays, the centres will be open from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. However, certain Smart Customer Happiness Centres will continue to operate round-the-clock as usual.

Service Providers Centres (Vehicle Testing):

  • The working hours for vehicle testing centres vary across different locations. Most centres operate from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, with morning and evening shifts. Friday hours are adjusted, with some centres closing for a portion of the day.

Metro:

  • The Dubai Metro maintains its regular schedule throughout Ramadan. Trains on both the Red Line and Green Line operate from 5:00 am to midnight on weekdays, with extended hours on Fridays until 1:00 am the next day.

Tram:

  • Similarly, the Tram schedule remains unchanged during Ramadan, operating from 6:00 am to 1:00 am the following day on weekdays and from 9:00 am to 1:00 am the following day on Sundays.

Dubai Bus:

  • Dubai Bus timings are synchronized with the Metro schedule, with services operating from early morning until late at night, ensuring connectivity with other modes of transportation.

Marine Transport:

  • Abra services and water taxis continue to operate with adjusted timings, accommodating the needs of passengers traveling across Dubai’s waterways.

Public Parking:

  • Tariffs for public parking zones remain consistent, with specific timings for different shifts and multi-storey car parks operating 24/7.

Overall, these adjustments in service hours ensure that residents and visitors in Dubai can continue to access transportation services conveniently during Ramadan while respecting the traditions and observances of the holy month.
