Dubai to Build World’s Largest Residential Building

The Al Habtoor Group in Dubai has announced the launch of the Habtoor Tower. It will soon claim the title of the world’s largest residential building. It is situated in a prime area on Sheikh Zayed Road, close to the Dubai Water Canal and the Dubai International Financial Centre. The tower will provide residents with ultra luxurious living facilities.

The Habtoor Tower will have a total of 81 floors and a built-up area of 3,517,313 square feet, accommodating an impressive 1,701 keys. The project team plans to complete it within a 36-month timeframe. Furthermore, Al Habtoor Group intends to deliver the project at the highest quality standards within a record time.

The construction of the Habtoor Tower will rely on advanced engineering concepts. However, a notable technique that the construction process will employ is using an 80 meter deep barrette combined with a 15 meter plunge steel column. This technique enables the immediate commencement of construction, resulting in a saving of approximately six months. Additionally, the tower will integrate the industry’s highest-grade steel.

Moreover, the construction will be done keeping in view environmental sustainability. The Habtoor Tower will emit less than 50% of the carbon emissions produced by traditional buildings. Environmental experts are currently evaluating the tower for LEED Platinum Certification, the highest recognition for green building rating systems worldwide.

Khalaf Al Habtoor, the founding chairman of Al Habtoor Group, expressed his excitement about the project and eagerly anticipates witnessing the technical details and successful completion of the Habtoor Tower.

The tower’s combination of luxury and sustainability positions it to become an iconic landmark in Dubai’s ever evolving skyline.
