The next milestone for electric car producers is to harness solar energy — and it appears that a Dutch business is already making headway into this goal, with a solar-powered automobile set to hit the streets by mid-2022.
The Lightyear One is an electric car manufactured by Lightyear, a Dutch firm.
In recent tests, the automobile was able to go over 248 miles at 81 mph on a single charge of its 60 kWh battery.
These experiments were conducted at a faster rate and in colder temperatures than prior tests.
