Egypt Offers 5-Year Visa for Just $700

The multi-year visa, which will cost $700, is expected to draw travelers from all over the world. More than 180 nations can now get a single-entry, 30-day visa on arrival for $25, according to The National News.

The decision was made as a result of how the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has affected tourism in the nation, which has 1 million square kilometers of territory.

Although the Covid-19 limitations have finally been lifted worldwide, Egyptian authorities plan to entice tourists by offering them five-year visas.

The first multiyear visa was made available by Egypt on Monday, according to Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, who also announced that more nationalities will now be eligible for visas-on-arrival.

“We only require 300,000 rooms, $30 billion in room investments, and likely comparable sums in customer experience investments. At a recent presentation, Mr. Issa stated, “Share the word — and it is a terrific industry to invest in.

Since Ukraine was the largest source of the nation’s tourists, the pandemic, like it did in every other nation, had a negative impact on the industry. In contrast to the over 13 million visitors, the nation received in 2019, only 3.7 million came in 2020.

With an aim of 30 million visitors by 2028, Egypt, recognized for its history and ancient culture, received 11.7 million tourists last year.
