On Sunday, around 50 people were injured when eight bogies of the Hazara Express derailed near Sahara Railway Station in Pakistan. Train accidents are unfortunately common in the country, and they have led to the loss of many lives and injuries in the past. Despite these incidents, authorities have not taken sufficient measures to prevent such accidents.
The injured passengers were taken to the People’s Medical Hospital in Nawabshah, and more injuries are feared as the cause of the derailment is still unknown. Rescue efforts are underway to help the affected passengers, and nearby hospitals have declared an emergency.
This incident occurred just one day after three coaches of the Allama Iqbal Express derailed, luckily without any injuries. The authorities are still investigating the cause of both accidents, and relief efforts are being organized to assist the affected passengers.
