Elon Musk has long been interested in self-driving cars, believing they are crucial for Tesla’s future. Despite much anticipation, fully autonomous vehicles have not yet become a reality.
In a recent announcement, Musk revealed Tesla’s plan to introduce its robotaxi on August 8. Tesla aims to create cars that can drive themselves without the need for human controls, gradually improving their driving abilities through software updates.
Although Tesla has offered Full Self-Driving as a feature that can be purchased, it currently requires drivers to supervise the vehicle. Musk acknowledges that there have been delays in achieving past predictions about self-driving technology but remains ambitious about the future.
