Energy Department Sindh Announces Job Position in Pakistan

The Sindh Energy Department has issued a notification for a job opening under the Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP).   • Work Experience: At least 10 years of total work experience, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in community engagement, mobilization, and resettlement under international donor-assisted projects.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local laws related to land acquisition, resettlement, labor management, and special protection for vulnerable groups. The candidate should also be familiar with the environmental and social safeguard policies of international financial institutions like the World Bank and ADB.
  • Core Competencies: Expertise in participatory methods, community mobilization, social assessments, and resettlement planning is required. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Urdu are essential. Knowledge of Sindhi is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Selection Process

The Social Safeguard Specialist will be selected according to the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018). The process will follow an Open Competitive Selection for Individual Consultants.
