Europe’s Largest 3D-Printed Building ‘The Wave House’ Printed in Only 140 Hours

Data centers are often known for their plain and dull appearances, with mostly concrete walls and few windows.

This is mainly because of safety rules, but it’s not as big of a deal when these centers are located away from cities. However, in Heidelberg city, they wanted their data center to be close to people.

So, to make it stand out and look different, they asked architects SSV and Mense Korte for help. These architects came up with a unique idea: instead of straight walls, they designed the walls to look like waves.

That’s why people call it The Wave House. This new design makes the data center look more interesting and appealing.
